Lecture Aids
It's always nice to be able to go back and review, especially for exams. I will place supporting PowerPoint presentations of my major lectures here . If you have problems loading, please use the contact form to let me know. I will also be glad to let you load copies onto your own thumb drives. This does NOT mean, that you do not have to take notes or pay attention in class: the PowerPoint is just a skeleton; what I say is the meat.
Here is a series of three slides that we will be looking at during our introduction to risk and insurance. If you missed them, or if you will miss them, here they are.
Here is my lecture support PowerPoint on bonds. Please review it using the Bond Work Sheet, a copy of which I have attached here.
Here you will find the PowerPoint slides for the introductory lecture "Fundamentals of Investing."
Here are links one and two to lectures on credit. You will find these most useful in preparing for the Loans and Credit unit quiz.
Here is the Inflation unit PowerPoint.
Here is the PowerPoint to accompany the unit, "Measuring the Economy with GDP."
Here is the PowerPoint to support the unit on Taxation. If you are interested in the little presentation on George Harrison's "The Taxman," here it is.
Here is the introductory lecture "Intro to Economics" Part 1 in its entirety. Beware: I often change things just before presentation, so if you look ahead to what will be, do not be shocked if, when we look at it in class, it has changed.
Here is the lecture "What Is Money?"
Here is the lecture "Introduction to Economic Systems."
Here is the lecture, "Functions of Government."
